The first tranche of macro-financial assistance from the EU in the amount of 3 billion euros with a total of 18 billion euros Ukraine received in January.

The decision on this aid package was made with many difficulties, in mid-December EU leaders finally reached an agreement about him

Kyiv received the first tranche without the requirement to fulfill the conditions. However, according to the agreements, Ukraine will receive the next 15 billion euros only for the fulfillment of the commitments.

Macro-financial assistance is a loan that Ukraine receives at a favorable interest rate.
