The film “Everything everywhere and at once” received four awards from the Screen Actors Guild of the USA. This is a record in the history of the award.
Statuettes were awarded for the best cast in a movie, for the best female role, as well as for the best supporting female and male roles.
The winner of the last one, Ke Hui Kuan, noted that he is the first laureate of Asian origin in the entire history of the award. His colleague Michelle Yeo said that this award is not only for her, but also “for every girl like her”.
The jury recognized Brendan Fraser as the best actor for the main role in the movie “Whale”. The Guild also noted the cast of the TV series “White Lotus” and “Abbott Elementary School”.
The US Screen Actors Guild Award has been awarded since 1995. Not a single picture received four awards before “Everything Everywhere and At Once”. The films “American Beauty”, “Chicago”, “The Servant” and “Three Billboards on the Border of Ebbing, Missouri” won three awards each.
