The former deputy head of the government of the Moscow Region was detained in a bribery case

Ilya Bronshtein, the former First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region, was detained by law enforcement agencies on Friday. Ego is suspected of receiving a bribe in the amount of 25 million rubles. According to the investigation, this happened in June. Bronshtein left his position in the government of the Moscow Region in early September.

In addition to Bronshtein, the rector of the Corporate University of Educational Development Andrey Lubsky and the general director of the commercial company were detained in the same case. The court arrested them.

According to the investigation, Bronshtein received a bribe of 25 million from this company. The university rector acted as a mediator. For a bribe, Bronshtein provided the company with unimpeded participation in a competition for the purchase of interactive panels for schools near Moscow, the signing of acts of completed work and, in general, his patronage.

Bronshtein managed to stay in the position of the first deputy of the government of the Moscow region for only six months – from April. Previously, he was the Minister of Education of the Moscow Region.
