At the summit of the G7 countries in Hiroshima, Japan, the issue of a complete ban on exports to Russia will not be discussed.

This was stated by Jake Sullivan, adviser to the US president on national security issues, during the briefing, reports “Europa Pravda”.

“I do not expect what was reported – a complete ban on exports. The main attention will be paid to the implementation of sanctions and their evasion,” he said.

Sullivan also added that the G7 countries will discuss the use of frozen Russian assets.

As reported, American officials expect that in the most sensitive for Russian military spheres G7 members will accept the presumption that exports are prohibitedif it is not included in a special list.

The exact wording of the G7 leaders’ joint declaration is still subject to discussion and adjustment before it is released at the summit.

At the same time, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz rejected US proposals for a general ban on exports to Russia.
