The National Bank significantly reduced the sale of foreign currency at the interbank
During the week, from May 15 to 19, the National Bank bought $11.59 million and sold $391.96 million on the interbank foreign exchange market. The negative balance amounted to $380.37 million against $535.74 million last week. This is evidenced by the regulator’s data.

Thus, the National Bank reduced currency sales by $155.37 million compared to last week.
Since the beginning of the year, the NBU at the interbank:
- bought $108.91 million;
- sold $9,836.33 million.
The negative balance of interventions amounted to $9,727.42 million.
