Russia declares that the “grain initiative” was extended for 60 days and called it a “gesture of goodwill” on its part, while the Ukrainian side has not yet confirmed the Russian Federation’s statements.

This was announced by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

The Russian Federation declares that the grain initiative is allegedly not being implemented in terms of lifting restrictions on the export of Russian agricultural products, in particular – unblocking the transit of Russian ammonia through the Odesa-Togliatti ammonia pipeline.

“The conditions that were agreed upon as an integral part of the agreement were not fulfilled. Therefore, in general, as you understand, the agreement cannot stand on one leg, therefore … this is a kind of, of course, a gesture of goodwill on the part of the Russian Federation” , – said Peskov.

In the comments of the EP, representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not officially confirm the extension of the agreement for 60 days. As reported on Monday, Ukraine states that the idea of extending the grain initiative for 60 days instead of 120 days contradicts the signed together with the UN and Turkey documents. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Ukraine does not agree to such conditions.
