The situation in Odesa: the Prime Minister created a 24-hour government headquarters, Ministry of Energy generators were sent to the city


Due to the difficult situation with light in Odesa, the Prime Minister ordered the creation of a 24-hour government headquarters headed by the Minister of Energy, all powerful generators available at the Ministry of Energy and a gas turbine power plant were sent to the city.

This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his Telegram.

“At an extraordinary meeting of the Government, he instructed to create a 24-hour government headquarters headed by the Minister of Energy, with the participation of the Acting Minister of Internal Affairs, the heads of the State Emergency Service and OVA, the head of Ukrenergo, representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and other ministries and departments.

Now the main goal is to restore critical infrastructure and multi-apartment buildings, the heating of which depends on electricity supply. “I instructed to bring to Odesa all the powerful generators available at the Ministry of Energy within a day,” Shmyhal noted.

Also, a gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 25 MW, provided by our partners from the USA, was sent to Odesa. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs should turn to Turkey for additional support in the form of power plant ships.
