The suspect in the assassination attempt on Trump outlined his plan in a memo
American Ryan Root, who is suspected of attempting to assassinate US presidential candidate Donald Trump, admitted in a pre-written note that he planned the attack and even predicted its failure. This is stated in the document that the prosecutors submitted to the court.
“It was an attempt on Donald Trump, but I failed you. I tried my best and showed all the smarts I was capable of,” says the note, which Root put in a box and left at a friend’s house. In it, he also offers a reward of 150 thousand dollars to “who can complete this work.” The note said that Trump is not suitable for the post of president of the United States. According to the prosecutors, in addition to the note, the box also contained ammunition and a metal pipe.
It is also reported that during a search of Ruth’s car, the police found “a handwritten list of dates in August, September and October 2024 and places where the former president appeared or was supposed to be.” In addition, six cell phones were found, on one of which a Google search was performed on how to get to Mexico from Palm Beach County, where the shooting occurred.
A court hearing is scheduled for Monday, where prosecutors will ask the judge to keep Rut in jail until the trial. At the moment, Root is charged with illegal possession of a weapon, two counts of possession of a firearm while convicted, and possession of a weapon with an obliterated serial number. The shooting took place on September 15 at the golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, where Donald Trump was at the time. According to mass media, there are several offenders behind Rut.
