The commander of the “Yugra” battalion, Dmitry Aksenov, became a deputy of the KhMAO Duma. This is reported by Sibir.Realii with reference to a source close to the regional parliament. In 2022, before sending to the front, Aksenov demanded “blood” and “kill the enemy” from his subordinates.
According to the source, Aksenov won 53.4% of the vote, although the official data have not yet been published. He was nominated from the Soviet district and the city of Yugorsk, representing “United Russia”. “The second place behind him was taken by a communist, he was also a participant in the hostilities. The turnout was below 20%, people simply did not come to vote, because of this, the administrative resource sold everything,” – said the interlocutor of the publication.
According to the GAS “Vybory” data, 8,286 people voted for Aksenov, and 2,496 voted for Communist Artem Aminov.
Dmitry Aksenov was born in the Oktyabrsky district of Yugra, participated in the Chechen war. Before mobilization, he worked as the head of the organizational support department of the regional duma.
After being mobilized in 2022, Aksenov headed the volunteer battalion “Yugra”, created with the assistance of Senator Eduard Isakov. Aksenov participated in the filming of a video where soldiers shouted that they “want blood” and “kill the enemy.” At the front, Aksenov received a concussion and the Order of Courage.
“Edynaya Russia” declared that of the 380 participants in the war in Ukraine, which the party nominated for the elections, 80% will become deputies. According to the Deputy Secretary of the General Council of the party, Sergei Permynov, this is how United Russia plans to fulfill the task “to form a new management elite”, which was set by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
