The National Police exposed a scheme by which a group of people tried to raid the Khorolsky Children’s Food Factory under the leadership of political technologist Ihor Mizrah.

The investigation established that in July 2022, with the aim of illegally taking over 100% of the authorized capital of a children’s products factory in Poltava region, the members of the criminal group illegally re-registered the company as controlled persons. To do this, they broke into state registers and forged a number of documents.

As a result of such actions, losses in the amount of more than UAH 250 million were caused. The National Police say that, in addition to the organizers, the group included persons representing the power bloc, lawyers, notaries and even a “criminal authority”.

According to EP sources in law enforcement agencies, it is about the Khorolsky factory of children’s food products, which manufactures products for children under the “Malyutka” brand.

The organizer of fraudulent actions, according to the investigation, is a lawyer and owner of a media holding. The National Police say that he used controlled information resources as tools of pressure and blackmail on businessmen and politicians. According to EP sources among law enforcement officers, it is Igor Mizrah.

To finance the equipment, he attracted funding in the amount of 530,000 dollars under the leadership of the former Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the investigation notes.

According to the National Police, the suspect was repeatedly caught by law enforcement officers for fraud and extortion.

On Thursday, May 18, law enforcement officers detained 9 main members of the criminal group – organizers and participants of the fraudulent scheme. The police officers conducted more than 50 searches at the places of residence of the persons involved, in office premises and vehicles.

According to the results of the searches, mobile phones, documentation, weapons, ammunition, money, cars, “draft notes”, a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation of one of the organizers of the criminal group and other things were seized.

The detainees were charged with a number of articles of the Criminal Code, including: creation, management of a criminal organization, as well as participation in it, illegal appropriation of company property, forgery of documents, abuse of authority by persons providing public services, and official forgery.

Currently, other members of the criminal organization are being identified and their involvement in preparation for the raiding of other enterprises in various regions of the state is being verified. The investigation is ongoing.
