Ukraine allowed foreigners to open a business in the country online and in a few clicks
Ukraine announced the launch of uResidency – a program that allows foreigners to open a business in Ukraine.
This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
The program offers convenient conditions for doing business: registration takes only 5-10 minutes through the uResidency application or portal. After checking the application, the e-resident receives a qualified electronic signature (KEP) at the consulate without the need to visit Ukraine. Next, he can register an individual entrepreneur online and automate all tax and financial processes.
The system eliminates the need to contact accountants, as tax declarations and payments are made automatically through the bank. The tax rate for e-residents is 5%.
Currently, the program is available to citizens of India, Pakistan, Thailand and Slovenia, and in the first phase it is planned to attract about 1,000 e-residents. The list of countries will be expanded in the future.
