Restoration of flights

The air carrier began to operate flights from Europe to resort destinations on the recently received Boeing 757−300 aircraft with registration UR-SLE.

On May 26, Flightradar24 online radar recorded flights of an airliner between Katowice, Warsaw and the Bulgarian seaside resort of Burgas.

Skyline Express became the fourth Ukrainian airline to resume passenger flights after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Flights with passengers ordered by other airlines and tour operators are now carried out by SkyUp and Windrose. Until the fall of 2022, UIA made such flights, however, the air carrier stopped its activities due to a shareholder conflict.

The new name is Azur Air Ukraine

According to the state register of legal entities, Azur Air Ukraine changed its name to Skyline Express in March 2023.

The air carrier is affiliated with the tour operator Anex Tour, which is active in the Russian and Ukrainian markets.

Now, the Azur Air airline, which the US authorities included in the list of sanctions, continues to operate in Russia. She flies to Turkey.

The renaming of Azur Air Ukraine may be due to the desire of the owners to continue the work of the Ukrainian airline, but not to associate it with the Russian Federation.

Initially, Azur Air Ukraine was called “UTair-Ukraine” and functioned as a daughter of the Russian airline “UTair”. In 2015, the airline was bought by Anex Tour structures, and it was named Azur Air Ukraine.
