In April, the share of railway ticket sales through the Ukrzaliznytsy application exceeded sales volumes at ticket offices for the first time, reaching 22.8% of the total number of tickets sold. This was reported by the press service of the company.

How many tickets were bought?

It is clarified that passengers bought 22.3% of tickets from the total volume at the ticket offices. In total, the company sells 78% of train tickets online: through the application, official website, chatbots and partner sales channels.

Deputy director of the information technology department of Ukrzaliznytsia Viktoria Galatyn noted that her team constantly conducts an analysis of passenger traffic in order to adjust its goals in accordance with real needs.

“For example, in one of the latest releases, we added the ability to add tickets for animals and luggage to an already existing ticket – previously this could only be done at the ticket office. We see that this function and all pre-implemented ones are in demand and in demand among users. We still have many requirements for functionality, which are ordered by degree of importance, and we continue to work on improving our online services,” she said.
