What is the personnel reserve of teachers and how will it work: the answer of the Ministry of Education and Culture

All teachers who want to work in the de-occupied territories can join the teacher reserve. It will be created in order to “support teachers” during their absence from permanent employment.
About this told Deputy Minister of Education of Ukraine Andriy Stashkiv in an interview with “Ukrainian Pravda. Life”.
According to him, the personnel reserve will also include teachers, in particular school principals, who previously lost their previous job. During this period, teachers will be trained.
“As long as the teachers are in the personnel reserve, training will be conducted for them.
We plan to launch courses so that they retain their pedagogical skill and can work, in particular, in the de-occupied territories, when we will have to modify the programs to work with those students who still remain there.”– adds Andriy Stashkiv.
During their time in the reserve, teachers will keep their salary, as well as their place of work in the school in case it resumes its work.
Currently, the document approving the procedure and formula for calculating payments has not been approved. Therefore, it is not known for sure how they will be calculated.
“Currently, the proposal that we included in the project of changes provides for maintaining the average salary of a teacher. We will talk about which option will be final when it is adopted.”says the deputy minister.
According to Andrii Stashkiv, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has already developed a personnel reserve, but it is not fully operational. This is explained by the fact that it was created based on the de-occupied territories as of 2023.
The department plans to make changes to the personnel reserve, taking into account the current situation. They must be approved by the Ministry of Finance.
We remind you that get into to the personnel reserve, the teacher must fill statementcertify it with an electronic signature and download the education document. It should be considered within five working days and an appropriate decision made.
From the reserve, teachers can either transfer to another school that can offer a job, or have a guarantee of employment in the de-occupied territory.
