On March 17, it became known that Serhiy Shkarlet, who was exposed for plagiarism, will resign as the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine. The information was confirmed by the Cabinet of Ministers, the Office of the President and the Verkhovna Rada. According to UP sources, there are already potential candidates for the post of Minister of Education, however Serhii Shkarlet himself did not comment on the information about his resignation. First of all, the minister was reminded about plagiarism in his scientific works, because this trail has been following Serhiy Skarlet since the beginning of his tenure as a minister. There were also memes about “square brackets” – Serhii Shkarlet responded to accusations of plagiarism with these words in one of the interviews. In the same interview, the minister said: “If they say to me: ‘Scarlet, you’ve already worked hard, go,’ I will calmly leave.” Netizens joke that a spring counteroffensive began with Scarlett’s release.
