The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed two laws that should simplify the passage of medical commissions by military personnel and the receipt of medical documents. We are talking about draft laws No. 9154 and No. 9158. One of them expands the list of medical institutions where military personnel will be able to pass commissions. The second should contribute to the improvement of documents and treatment of servicemen during martial law. According to draft law No. 9154, military medical commissions (MMCs) can be established at state and communal health care institutions. Previously, such commissions existed only at the health care institutions of the Ministry of Defense, SBU and other military formations, as well as the State Information Protection Service. Draft law No. 9158 concerns the issuance of a certificate to military personnel about the circumstances of injury, contusion or mutilation both based on the results of the relevant investigation and without it. Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed two laws that should simplify the passage of medical commissions by military personnel and the receipt of medical documents. It also aims to improve the process of issuing and sending medical documents between military units and health care institutions. The task of the draft law is to simplify the procedure for implementing the conclusions of the military medical commission on granting leave for treatment due to illness and on unfitness for military service. Both laws enter into force the day after their text is published in the parliamentary newspaper “Holos Ukrainy”. We would like to remind you that by the end of May in Ukraine, military medical commissions in all hospitals of Ukraine must switch to electronic queues.
