Indexation of pensions: some Ukrainians can increase payments by 20%

In July, pensions for certain groups of pensioners in Ukraine will be increased by almost 20%. This was reported by the head of the board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine Evgeny Kapinus in an interview with “TSN”.

What to expect pensioners
“Indexation of pensions has already been carried out this year and several mass recalculations of pensions are planned. Since March 1, the pensions appointed in accordance with the laws “On mandatory state pension insurance”, “On the status and social protection of victims of the Chernobyl disaster” and “On pension insurance of persons discharged from military service” have been indexed by an increase factor of 1.197 and some other persons”, the minimum disability pensions for servicemen and victims of the Chernobyl disaster have been increased,” Kapinus said.
He said that the minimum pension and minimum pension payments for those who have full insurance experience have also already increased. According to the official, during indexation in March, the state transferred pension payments to 10.5 million citizens.

“Also, from March 1, the minimum pension payments to persons with disabilities among participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant were increased,” Kapinus said.
The head of the Pension Fund said that pensions will be transferred to Ukrainian pensioners who continue to work on April 1. Also, starting July 1, it is planned to carry out an indexation of 19.7% of pensions specified by the laws “On public service”, “On service in local self-government bodies”, “On the status of a people’s deputy of Ukraine” and “On scientific and scientific and technical activity” in Ukraine from July 1. .
