Zelensky signed a new package of sanctions: hundreds of companies and individuals were included in the lists

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, announced new packages of sanctions, which continue the course of isolating and blocking the Russian military industry. 493 legal entities and 208 individuals were included in the sanctions lists. The head of state reported this in his address.

“Today is a sanction day for us. Five sanction packages have been approved, which we prepared very carefully during these weeks in the National Security Council, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Office, and in our special services,” the president said.
In addition to the sanctions imposed on persons who helped the Russian Federation exercise control over the Zaporozhstal metallurgical plant, presidential decrees put into effect the decision of the National Security Council on sanctions against the Russian military industry.
“Hundreds of individuals and legal entities belonging to the terrorist state and connected to Russia are becoming targets of global isolation. We are working very actively with our partners so that everyone who actually carries out this aggression, who gives weapons, ammunition, equipment and technologies into the hands of terrorists, so that they are all crushed by peace,” Zelensky said.

According to Decree No. 2761023, sanctions were imposed on 293 enterprises. Among them, machine-building enterprises of Belarus, Russian enterprises of light industry, including a number of sewing and shoe factories, instrument factories and companies in the field of electronics. There are also 32 natural persons in the list of sanctioned persons.
Decree No. 2771023 imposed sanctions on 176 individuals and 200 legal entities.
Subsequently, the head of state announced another package of sanctions.
“By his decree, he imposed restrictive measures on the ownership of Russian companies in Ukraine and on the ownership of Ukrainian economic entities connected with them. Sometimes even objects of critical infrastructure and key strategic enterprises were under their control,” he wrote in Telegram.

Sanctions were also imposed on companies related to Medvedchuk and other sanctioned persons, founders, managers, beneficiaries of pro-Russian companies that have significant assets on the territory of Ukraine.
