Georgia issued permission for the flights of the Russian airline Red Wings.

This is reported by “European Truth” with reference to the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia.

According to the notification of the Georgian regulator, the company will operate flights from Sochi to Tbilisi and from Moscow to Kutaisi from June. Flights on the routes will be carried out three times a week.

Red Wings have not yet come under Western sanctions. Ukraine introduced sanctions against it in 2021. The company’s planes are partially under arrest in absentia in connection with flights to the occupied Crimea.

The company became the third air carrier admitted to air connections between the Russian Federation and Georgia – previously Georgian Airways and Azimut received permits.

We will remind you that on May 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin canceled the visa regime for citizens of Georgia and at the same time lifted the ban on Russian flightsairlines to Georgia.
