Carriers in Koma refuse the Z-symbol, fearing an attack

The governor of the Republic of Koma, Vladimir Uyba, complained that there is insufficient visible campaigning in support of the actions of Russian troops in Ukraine on the streets and on public transport. In his opinion, this upsets servicemen returning to the republic from the war.

In his Telegram channel, he mentioned that the banner in support of the “defenders of the fatherland” could be hung in Syktyvkar only for a limited time and on a commercial basis – on equal terms with any other advertisement.

According to Uyba, transport companies refuse to place the Z-symbol in public transport, fearing an attack. “I gave instructions to all state structures to support our guys and hang these inscriptions. And the carriers who take passengers for our and your money say that they will not do this. I ask why? They answer: What if someone breaks the glass! ” – wrote Uyba.

The governor accuses Koma residents, and in particular businessmen responsible for placing posters and banners, of insufficient patriotism. “Go out into the street, look – how many cars will you see with the inscriptions: “For ours”, “For Russia”, “For Victory?” – he asks.

• Outdoor advertising in support of the war in Ukraine, including the use of the Z symbol, is periodically vandalized by opponents of the war. Attempts to cause material damage are also reported by motorists who stuck such symbols on the windows of their own cars.
