The Russian Ministry of Defense announced 11 downed drones

[ad_1]

At least 11 drones were shot down in the Belgorod, Kursk and Voronezh regions during the night and morning on Thursday, according to the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

According to the agency, eight drones were destroyed over the Belgorod region, two over the Voronezh region and one over the Kursk region.

The messages of the Ministry of Defense of Russia do not say anything about the consequences of the attacks.

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced after the night attack that, according to preliminary information, no one was injured. According to him, two air targets were shot down on the approach to the city of Stroitel. The authorities of other regions have not yet commented on the information about drone attacks.

In the evening of January 31, TASS reported with reference to a source, two drones were shot down in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. They fell in the forest not far from the road connecting the village of Chernukha and the village of Starye Klyuchyshchy. As “Kommersant” notes, the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery, as well as the RusVinyl and Sibur-Kstovo petrochemical plants, are not far from where the drones fell. The city of Kstovo is one of the oil refining centers in Russia. It is located at a distance of about 800 kilometers from the nearest point on the territory of Ukraine under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The day before, a drone shot down over St. Petersburg fell on the territory of the Nevsky Mazut plant. In January, Ukrainian drones allegedly struck two targets on the shores of the Gulf of Finland: an oil depot near St. Petersburg and the port of Ust-Luga. The border of Ukraine is about 900 kilometers from them.

As a rule, the Ukrainian military does not officially comment on attacks on targets in Russia, although sources in the Ukrainian special services have repeatedly claimed that they are carried out by Ukraine.
