The court in Orenburg arrested the owner of the Pose LGBT club until May 18 on charges of being an extremist organization. We are talking about the non-existent “international LGBT association”, previously banned by the Russian authorities.

According to the investigation, the owner of the club recruited staff, approved transvestite artists, posted photos and videos of performances “promoting non-traditional sexual relations and preferences, in the Telegram channel and controlled financial and economic activity.”
Diana Kamilyanova, the club’s administrator, and Aleksandra Klymov, the art director, were previously arrested in connection with the case. Yesterday it became known that Rosfinmonitoring included them in the list of extremists and terrorists.
In November, the “International LGBT Movement” was banned in Russia by the decision of the Supreme Court at the request of the Ministry of Justice. The banned organization does not actually exist, but the court decided that LGBT+ activists in the world share common features that can be considered participation in the same movement.
The case of the Orenburg Pose club became the first criminal case initiated in Russia on the organization of the activities of an extremist organization due to its involvement in the LGBT community.
Employees of the Orenburg club face up to 10 years in prison.
