The Office of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development will start its work in Kyiv on March 1.
This was stated by OECD Secretary General Mathias Korman during a joint briefing with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“I can confirm that starting tomorrow, the official Office of our representative office in Kyiv will open,” Korman said and thanked the Slovak Embassy for providing office space.
Korman also thanked Poland, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia for their financial support for the creation of this office.
“Employees of our office will cooperate with your government to develop a program for Ukraine within the framework of the OECD, so that we can help you achieve all the priorities that are set within the framework of your government’s reform program according to the standards and principles of the OECD, as a future member of this organization,” the Secretary General noted. Organizations.
As previously reported, in October the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development considered Ukraine’s application for admission and begins the discussion.
