More than a third of Russians, 35 percent, according to a sociological survey by the Russian Field company, would cancel the decision on the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, made by Vladimir Putin on February 24 last year, if they had such an opportunity.
The Moscow Times edition notes that this is a record indicator for such people: in the first months of the war, 26 to 28 percent of respondents were against the decision to fight with Ukraine, in December last year – 33 percent.
It is also noted that the share of those who “would not reverse” the decision to invade Ukraine for the first time fell below half of the number of respondents, making up forty-nine percent.
According to the poll, the most anti-war sentiments are among young people aged 18 to 24, and support for the war is most popular among men over 45.
Earlier it was reported that, according to the Russian Field poll, the shares of Russians who support the continuation of the war and those who support the transition to peace negotiations were almost equal: 45 and 44 percent, respectively.
