Reimbursement of the state budget
“Detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine ensured reimbursement of 531 million hryvnias of excise tax within the framework of criminal proceedings for non-payment of taxes by officials of Ukrtatnafta PJSC.” The funds have already entered the state budget,” the message says.
The investigation established that PJSC “Ukrtatnafta” produced and sold fuel through the gas station network without paying excise tax, although such tax was included in the price for consumers.
With the aim of getting funds into the state budget as soon as possible, the Bureau of Economic Security offered the company to compensate the state for damage caused by one of the episodes of illegal activity. Ukrtatnafta transferred funds to the budget in several payments totaling UAH 531 million.
