74 sailors died in the attack of the Armed Forces on the ship “Novocherkassk” – SMI

As a result of the strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the amphibious ship “Novocherkassk”, 74 Russian sailors were killed and 27 more were wounded. This is reported by the portal “News of Sevastopol” with reference to the message of the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet. Information about the dead was also published by “Independent Television of Sevastopol”, however, this news later disappeared.
According to the “Novosti Sevastopol” portal, the head of the Russian Navy, Nikolai Evmenov, proposed to declare a two-day mourning period on the territory of the city.
The Ukrainian Center of National Resistance also writes about the deaths of Russian sailors. He refers to Evmenov’s letter, which the activists of “Cyber Resistance” allegedly have in their possession. The message states that the Crimean mass media published these data, but later some of them deleted the publications.
Officially, the Ministry of Defense of Russia did not report the loss of the ship.

Ukrainian bombers launched a missile attack on the large landing ship “Novocherkassk”, which was moored at the pier. The Ministry of Defense of Russia said that “Novocherkassk” “was damaged during the repulse of the strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
- Earlier, the “Astra” telegram channel, citing its own sources, reported that at least 33 sailors were missing after the strike by the Armed Forces. According to the publication, at the time of the attack on the night of December 26, there were 77 sailors on the ship. In addition to the missing, 19 sailors were injured.
