The Tambov bakery “in parallel with lambs and loaves” began producing drones for the Russian army. This is reported by “Rossiyskaya gazeta”.
According to the deputy director of the enterprise Alexander Rudyk, even last year the military asked to send drones – the more, the better. “We tried to design it ourselves – from parts that can be found in any online store. We made several copies, took them to the front, tested them there. We lost one drone, received valuable comments, and upon its return we refined the design,” said the deputy director of the bakery.
Now, the newspaper writes, carbon frames are cut at the plant for the production of the simplest drones used for surveillance purposes, and in the near future they plan to print some of the parts on a 3D printer. According to Rudyk’s calculations, one drone, which was named “Snake”, will cost 25-50 thousand rubles.
The plant wants to send the first batch of 16 drones to the military at the end of March. The total capacity of the enterprise allows to collect up to 200 drones per month.
