The state prosecution requested nine years in prison for the activist Mikhail Kriger in the case of calling for the execution of Putin and justifying terrorism

The state prosecution requested nine years in prison for the activist of the “Solidarity” movement Mikhail Kriger, who is accused of justifying terrorism and inciting hatred and enmity. This was reported by the Telegram channel created in support of the activist.

According to the indictment, Krieger threatened the lives of FSB officers and called for the execution of Vladimir Putin by hanging. The reason for the case, as specified by the activist’s associates, were posts and comments on Facebook.

Kriger’s sentence, as informed by politician Maryna Lytvynovich, may be handed down on Wednesday, May 17. The accused does not admit his guilt. At the end of the court session, the activist performed the Ukrainian folk song “Red viburnum”.

Krieger was detained in November 2022 in Moscow. Earlier, he was detained at various protests, including anti-war ones. At the end of July, he was arrested for 10 days after being detained because of stickers on his car “Navalny is my president” and “I am against Putin. I am for Navalny.”
