The Belgorod governor called on a number of residents to “temporarily leave their homes”

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, called on the residents of border settlements to temporarily leave their homes.

Gladkov connected the call with the ongoing shelling of the region. “Please, all those populated areas, first of all, of the Shebekinsky district, which are being shelled, will listen to the position of the authorities and leave, temporarily leave, their homes in order to preserve…life,” the head wrote
region on Sunday in his Telegram channel.

According to the data provided by Gladkov, on the night of June 4, Shebekinsky and Volokonovsky districts and districts were shelled in the region. There was no information about the victims, but “a lot of damage”. A day earlier, two people were killed in shelling in the region – in Bezlyudovka and in Novaya Tavolzhanka, the Belgorod governor claims.

Also, according to him, more than 4 thousand people are currently in temporary accommodation centers.

The authorities of the annexed Crimea reported on Sunday night that a drone was shot down in the north of the peninsula, in Dzhankoye. Oleg Kryuchkov, an adviser to the head of Crimea appointed by Russia, wrote about this in the Telegram channel. “There is damage to the glazing in several houses of the private sector. All services are working,” Kryuchkov wrote.

On Sunday morning, the head of the annexed Crimea, Sergey Aksenov, said that five drones were shot down by air defense forces over the peninsula last night, and four more were “silenced and planted by means of EW” (radio-electronic warfare). According to Aksyonov, as a result of the fall of one of the drones, windows were broken in three private sector houses and two cars in Dzhankoye. Aksyonov did not specify the crash site of the remaining drones. But he added that “one unexploded UAV was found on the territory of a private household,” notes the Russian service of the BBC.
