The writer Viktor Shenderovych was not allowed to enter Georgia

The writer and publicist Viktor Shenderovych was not allowed to enter Georgia, where he was supposed to speak in Tbilisi on June 2, and in Batumi on June 4.

Blogger Nikolay Levshits reported on Thursday that he was not allowed to enter the country, referring to the organizers of Shenderovych’s concert in Batumi.

According to Levshits, Shenderovych was stopped at the border control at the airport and put on a flight to Israel, from where he came. It is not specified why the writer was not allowed to enter Georgia. The writer himself has not yet commented on what happened.

Nikolay Levshyts noted that the last time Viktor Shenderovych was in Georgia was several months ago.

Earlier, on May 11, pro-Ukrainian activists came to the building in Vilnius, where the writer was giving a speech. When Viktor Shenderovych came out to them to talk, his ego was doused with ketchup. Shenderovych himself emphasized that he was quoting the statement of another person.
