In the Hermitage, hackers displayed messages about Buche on the board

In St. Petersburg, in the State Hermitage Museum, hackers displayed on electronic boards information about the events that occurred during the Russian occupation of the city of Bucha in the Kyiv region. This is reported by “Fontanka”.

According to the publication, the incident occurred on the afternoon of January 29. After the hack was discovered, Hermitage security staff disabled the screens. According to preliminary data, the scoreboards were hacked remotely. It is not specified what information was shown on the screens.

The Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia in St. Petersburg decides how to qualify this incident.

On January 25, a video address by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was broadcast on television in the Belgorod region of Russia, as well as in the Krasnodar region, the annexed Crimea and Sevastopol. According to eyewitnesses, the speech of the head of state appeared on the screens instead of the usual program of Russian TV channels, for example STS and TNT. The Russian authorities explained it as hacking.

• According to the official data of the Ukrainian authorities, numerous journalistic investigations, as well as international organizations, such as the UN and the OSCE, hundreds of civilians died in Buch during the Russian occupation in February-March, and there are documented cases of the death of the city’s residents at the hands of the Russian military. Moscow, however, denies this, representatives of the Russian authorities say that it was staged or that the residents of Bucha were killed by the Ukrainian military.
