In the first half of 2023, Ukraine exported goods worth 19.4 billion dollars – 14.3% less than in the corresponding period last year. Note that this period includes almost two months before the introduction of martial law in Ukraine.

As for imports, its volume for the first half of the year amounted to 30.4 billion dollars. During this period, Ukraine imported goods by 20.7% more in monetary terms compared to the first half of 2022.

In terms of product categories, Ukraine exported the most products of vegetable origin, in particular – grain ($6.7 billion); fats and oils ($2.9 billion) and low-value metal, in particular – ferrous metals ($2.1 billion).

As for imports, fuel ($5.8 billion), machinery and electrical equipment ($5.2 billion), chemical industry products ($3.8 billion) and vehicles ($3.3 billion) were mostly imported into the customs territory of Ukraine. .
