The accused in the case of the creation of a terrorist cell in the colony hanged himself in the pre-trial detention center in Rostov

Ainutdin Aliboryev, a prisoner of SIZO-1 in Rostov-on-Don, accused in the case of the so-called terrorist prison Jamaat, hanged himself in his cell. Kavkaz.Realii was informed about this by one of the previously convicted in this case. The deceased was under investigation since February 2019.

“He had severe depression because of the criminal case, even the prisoners themselves applied for a mental examination,” said the editor’s interlocutor.

Aliboryev was accused of a terrorist attack and faced up to 20 years in prison, another former inmate of SIZO-1 in Rostov told the editorial office. The deceased was about 40 years old, before his arrest he lived in Buynaksk, Dagestan. He is survived by his elderly mother, wife and two daughters.

The Kavkaz.Realii correspondent contacted the remand prison by phone to confirm the information about Aliboriyev’s death. The operator refused to answer the question.

A criminal case about the creation of the terrorist community “Jamaat” in the correctional colony in the village of Yashkul was initiated in Kalmykia. According to the investigation, the community was created in 2013 by a native of Dagestan, Shahban Hasanov, who was serving a sentence there for illegal arms trafficking. He freed himself and was killed in Khasavyurt in 2015.

In total, more than 100 people are involved in the case, including the head of the colony and his deputy. They are suspected of patronizing a terrorist organization.

Several prisoners have already been sentenced in the case. They received terms from seven to 24 years of imprisonment.

According to the indictment, the convicts were engaged in “spreading the ideology of radical Islam, public justification of terrorism and activities of the terrorist community, distributed materials of an extremist and terrorist nature” in the colony.

They all deny guilt and call the case fabricated.
