Ukrainian hackers put the data of 24 million customers of Alfa Bank online

Hacker group KibOrg has announced that it has posted the database of clients of the largest Russian commercial bank – Alfa Bank. It contains personal data of approximately 24 million individuals and more than 13 million organizations.
The press service of Alfa Bank refuted this report and denied the fact of hacking. However, the publication “Vazhnye istorii” verified with a random sample that the published information really refers to real residents of Russia.
The hacking itself was carried out by the KibOrg group in October last year. Then the data of 44 thousand clients were published. Alfa Bank claimed that this is not real information, but compiled from random numbers.
The KibOrg group calls itself Ukrainian and claims to be fighting Russian aggression in the information space. Earlier, she managed to hack into the database of the Russian company Syrena-Travel. Then information about airline passengers, their flight numbers and routes from 2007 to 2023 was leaked online.
