In St. Petersburg, unknown persons set fire to the door of pro-Kremlin propagandist Trofim Tatarenkov. There were no people in the apartment at that moment, no one was injured. Tatarenkov turned to the police. He believes that the special services of Ukraine, dissatisfied with his activities, may be behind the arson.

As Tatarenkov wrote in his Telegram channel, the incident occurred on the evening of January 7. “Some people covered the door of the apartment where I live with tires, added boards and threw a bottle with incendiary mixture. Ukrainian ears stick out of history,” he clarified.

Trofym Tatarenkov is a St. Petersburg businessman and business consultant. He calls his activity in the field of business “hypology”. He created the popular YouTube channel “Isolenta”, whose guests included such media figures as the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova and the director Tigran Keosayan. Now Tatarenkov works as a presenter on Radio Sputnik, part of the state media group “Russia Today”. He supports the Kremlin’s policy and military aggression in Ukraine.

Pro-government media propagandists have already become targets of hooliganism. In December, the apartments of pro-Kremlin blogger Roman Saponkov and Komsomolskaya Pravda correspondent Dmitry Steshin were damaged in St. Petersburg. Their doors were filled with mounting foam. Two teenagers were detained on suspicion of hooliganism.

In September last year, pigs’ heads were thrown at the doors of the apartments of several pro-Kremlin publicists in Moscow.
