Kim Jong Un rode on a tank and called for preparations for war

The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, on Thursday visited the exercises of tank units of the North Korean army. According to the state agency KCNA, the supreme leader took part in the exercises and himself operated a tank of a new model, which he called “the most powerful in the world.”

These exercises are the third that Kim Jong-un has attended in the last 11 days, that is, since the joint military exercises of the USA and South Korea began. They should end on Thursday evening. Artillery, tank troops, armored personnel carriers and aviation take part in them. The DPRK usually speaks negatively about the exercises of the South Korean army and its allies, declaring them preparations for an attack on itself. South Korea speaks of purely defensive purposes.

The previous two rounds of scientists recently visited by the North Korean leader involved artillery and infantry.

According to the North Korean press, Kim Jong-un called on the tankers to “increase their morale” and “prepare for war” during the exercises. Previously, the Ministry of Defense of the DPRK threatened South Korea with military measures in response to joint exercises with the United States.
