The Krasnokamensky city court fined a student of one of the city’s colleges for anti-war statements during class, the press service of the court reports.
According to the case file, the student said that Russia started a war, attacked Ukraine, called Russia an aggressor and said that the country was killing innocent Ukrainians. An administrative protocol on the discrediting of the Russian army was drawn up on it.
The student pleaded not guilty. She believes that the words were taken out of context, and the teacher provoked her to talk. In which lesson and in which educational institution it happened – it is not reported. The fined woman’s name is not given, only her last name is Ivanova.
- Administrative and criminal articles on the discrediting of the army were added by legislators to Russian laws eight days after the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Any assessment of the war that contradicts the positions of the Kremlin will be recognized by the courts as discrediting.
