A resident of Kuban was sentenced to 11 years in the case of arson on the railway

The Krasnodar Regional Court sentenced 19-year-old local resident Ilya Mironychev to 11.5 years in prison. He was found guilty of setting fire to a relay box on the railway. This is reported on the court’s website.

Myronychev was charged with sabotage and involvement of a minor in a crime. According to the sentence, he must spend the first year of imprisonment in prison, the rest of the term – in a high-security colony.

According to the investigation, on May 2, 2023, Myronychev set fire to a relay box on the railway in the village of Agronom, near the village of Dynskaya. He was accompanied by an underage friend who filmed it on camera. Investigators say that Myronychev decided to destroy the equipment after he received a telegram from unknown people offering to start arson for 10 thousand rubles.

There is no information about whether there was any punishment for Myronychev’s alleged underage accomplice.
