A soldier from Chita received 7 years in prison for desertion

In Chita, the court sentenced military officer Roman Evdokymov to seven years in a strict regime colony under the article on desertion during the mobilization period. This is reported by the Second Eastern District Military Court.
According to the investigation, on November 24 Evdokimov left his military unit in order to avoid fulfilling his duties. Two months later, he was detained by the police. The minimum term under this article is 5 years of imprisonment, the maximum is 15 years.
According to the database of the Chita City Court, the case was received by the judge on March 14, and the verdict was handed down on April 7. To consider the case, the court held three sessions, including the announcement of the verdict.
