A court in Moscow arrested Andrey Esypov, the general director of the Piket group of companies. Ego is suspected of fraud on a large scale. Esypov’s companies supplied the Russian army with bulletproof vests and other means of protection for the war in Ukraine.

As “Kommersant” reports, Esypov concluded a contract with the Ministry of Defense for the supply of 20,000 bulletproof vests. According to Esypov and his lawyers, he was slandered by former employees of the company, offended by the dismissal.

In addition to Esypov, two company managers were arrested. Their surnames are not mentioned.
