Rostyslav Zorykov, a figure in the recent investigation of Navalny’s team, beat an activist near his building in Prague. This was announced in the team’s Telegram channel.
The team claims that the activist was “peacefully protesting” near the building belonging to Zorykov when he drove up and “lashed out” at him. The team also published photos and videos of Zorykov’s alleged attacks.
The activist recorded the beatings at the hospital and contacted the police. The policemen who arrived at the scene advised him to “wait until Monday,” writes Navalny’s team.
In May 2023, investigators released a video claiming that Zorykov, the son-in-law of the country’s chief rocket engineer Boris Obnosov, owns a 140-meter penthouse in Prague worth about a million euros.
In addition, according to Navalny’s team, Zorykov collects cars: now his collection is worth about 770 thousand euros. Navalny’s team contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the police of the Czech Republic regarding Zorykov’s assets, but have not yet achieved anything concrete.
