Another criminal case was initiated against the singer Eduard Charlotte. This is reported by the Russian mass media with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies. The reason was a video in which the musician burns his Russian passport. The case is open under the article “Theft or damage to official documents.” The maximum penalty for it is imprisonment for a term of up to one year.
This is already the third criminal case against Charlotte. Earlier, he was accused of two episodes of rehabilitating Nazism and insulting the feelings of believers. The musician is in a pre-trial detention center in Samara.
Charlotte posted a video of her burning her passport on her social networks in June.
