In Belarus, an explosion occurred at the Ozerishche railway station in the suburbs of Minsk on the night of October 6. This was reported by the opposition “Association of Belarusian Railwaymen”. According to him, a section of the railway and a switch connecting the station’s tracks with the loading and unloading points were damaged. These engineering structures are used for loading and unloading work with military equipment.
The Belarusian authorities have not yet commented on the incident.
Ozerishche is the main loading station for military equipment in the Minsk region. The 120th Mechanized Brigade and the 127th Signal Brigade, as well as the 56th Signal Regiment, are located near the station. Further in the direction of Orsha, there are Kolodyshchi and Horodyshche stations, from which branch to military unit No. 42776 departs. This bypass is actively used for the transportation of Russian military equipment, ammunition and manpower.
The explosion occurred late in the evening on October 5. Now, according to the Belarusian service of Radio Liberty, representatives of the security forces are interviewing witnesses.
