The European aerospace corporation Airbus has announced that it will hire more than 13,000 employees worldwide this year.
This is reported on the Airbus website.
“To support the increase in production of commercial aircraft, to respond to challenges in the defense, space and helicopter industries, Airbus intends to hire more than 13,000 people worldwide in 2023.
About 7,000 of them will occupy newly created positions throughout the company. The new employees will play an important role in supporting our industrial growth and Airbus’ ambitious decarbonisation roadmap, as well as preparing for the future of aviation,” the statement said.
“In 2022, we welcomed more than 13,000 new employees to the Airbus team around the world in a challenging environment that tested our sustainability and attractiveness as a global employer.
After last year’s successful recruitment, we will hire more than 13,000 employees again in 2023,” said Airbus Human Resources and Jobs Director Thierry Baril.
More than 9,000 of these positions will be created in Europe, with the rest across the global network. A third of the total recruitment will be for recent graduates.
Currently, Airbus employs more than 130,000 people in all its divisions around the world.
