59 people were killed when a Russian missile struck the village of Groza in the Kharkiv region. These are the final data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. As the head of the department, Igor Klymenko, wrote in a telegram, police forensics identified all those who died as a result of a rocket attack on a cafe in Grozny.

Earlier it was reported that 53 people died. “All the victims are local residents. Pensioners, doctors, farmers, teachers, entrepreneurs. All are civilians. Entire families of several generations died,” Klymenko wrote.

The pre-war population of Groza was about 350 people.

The blow was delivered on October 5. At that time, a memorial service was held in the cafe for a fallen Ukrainian serviceman. The investigation believes that the strike was targeted, two local residents who are currently in Russia are suspected of being gunners.

The version that the strike was targeted was actually confirmed by the Russian representative at the UN, Vasyl Nebenzia, who stated at the meeting of the UN Security Council that in Groz there was a memorial service for a prominent nationalist, and “neo-Nazis” gathered for them. The prosecutor’s office of the Kharkiv region notes that the Russian military could have received information that the military would gather in the cafe, but only civilians were there.
