The court in Zadonsk, Lipetsk region, fined an employee of the local military enlistment office one thousand rubles for a demotivator in “VKontakte”, published in 2010. This was reported by the “Sova” center.
According to the court decision, the accused Alexander Zaborovsky posted on his page in social networks a demotivator with a photo of a skinhead in a T-shirt with Nazi symbols, raising his hand in the appropriate greeting. Above it were photos of deceased rock musicians and the inscription “Why did God take them and why do cattle live???”.
Zaborovsky explained to the court that he published the demotivator because of his passion for rock music. He voluntarily removed the picture when the prosecutor’s office opened a case against him on the article about the demonstration of Nazi symbols.
The “Owl” center believes that Zaborovsky was unjustly fined, since the demotivator did not promote Nazism, but on the contrary, “contrasted the positive image of rock musicians to the negative images of neo-Nazis and low-culture people.”
