An ex-policeman left Russia. He was persecuted for his anti-war stance

Former police major from Kursk, Ruslan Agibalov, left Russia for Turkey. He explained his decision by persecution of the authorities because of his anti-war position.
In a video on his YouTube channel called “The risk has become too high, so I am forced to leave Russia,” Agibalov says that he can no longer put his loved ones in danger. “Those who want to insult, humiliate, don’t even try – you haven’t gone through what I went through,” said a former police officer.
Agibalov was detained by the police on February 1. A report was drawn up on him about the discrediting of the Russian army because of a video on his YouTube channel. He was taken to court, but the hearing was postponed.
A day later, Agibalov published a video in which he declared that he “doesn’t want anyone” to go through what he went through, adding that he “doesn’t want to talk about it.” Agibalov’s friend told “OVD-News” that he was taken to the forest. Presumably, the former policeman was beaten.
In March of last year, Ruslan Agibalov was arrested for three days because of a picket with a “Yes to peace!” poster.
