The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine signed Memorandum on cooperation with the agricultural holding “Astarta-Kyiv” and the charity fund “Believe in Yourself”.

Cooperation will be aimed at improving social services for vulnerable population groups, supporting mental health, increasing cohesion and social capacity of territorial communities to overcome the challenges of war.

The focus of cooperation is internally displaced persons (IDPs), veterans and military families, people with disabilities, the poor and the elderly.

It is planned to implement important goals, in particular, within the project “Centers of Vitality” – parts of the All-Ukrainian mental health program initiated by the First Lady Olena Zelenska.

Astarta and BF “Believe in Yourself” will contribute to the development of the Centers of Vitality model and their implementation in the territorial communities of business presence.

The memorandum was signed by the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, Oksana Zholnovich, Astarta General Director Viktor Ivanchyk, and the head of the Belief in Yourself Foundation, Svitlana Mozgova. According to the head of the Ministry, Oksana Zholnovich, today it is important for both the state and business to strengthen the resilience of communities, to build communities at the local level that will help diversify life and give people an incentive for development.

“One of these solutions is the creation of Sustainability Centers – sites that will provide a variety of social services. Our cooperation will be aimed, in particular, at residents of rural areas, who, unfortunately, have fewer services and supports than city residents.” , – noted the minister.

For Astarta, such cooperation will be an opportunity to use its potential and experience as effectively as possible to help communities overcome the consequences of war and lay the foundations of social well-being and stability.

“The development of a new system of providing social services, mental health support and protection of vulnerable population groups will contribute to increasing the stability and capacity of local communities. We are convinced that such complex tasks can only be effectively solved in partnership between the state and business.

We understand well the challenges and needs of local residents, because we have been working in communities for more than thirty years and have implemented dozens of social initiatives.

Within the scope of the project, we will also help to create Centers of Sustainability in the communities where our company is present.” noted general director of Astarta Viktor Ivanchyk.

BF “Believe in Yourself” will participate in the development of the model of the Centers, will conduct an all-Ukrainian study of the needs of community residents, and will also propose a model for assessing the social impact of the implementation of the Project.

“We will apply leading international practices in researching the needs and assessing the social impact of Centers of Vitality on the well-being of vulnerable categories of citizens.

In my opinion, the project has a huge potential and will help to increase the resilience of communities in war conditions and the ability to quickly recover.” added Svitlana Mozgova, head of the BF “Believe in yourself”..
