August 18 exchange rate: the hryvnia weakens for the third day in a row

On Friday, August 18, the hryvnia accelerated its decline against the dollar and the euro both on the “black market” and in bank cash registers.
This is stated in the data minfin.com.ua, finance.ua.
At 12:30, the dollar rate against the hryvnia on the “black market” was 37.77 – 38.11 hryvnias, against quotes of 37.63 – 37.88 on Thursday. The hryvnia weakened for the third day in a row.
At the same time, the “black” rate of the euro also increased, and amounted to UAH 41.49 – 41.80 against the rate of UAH 41.25 – 41.64 per euro on Thursday.
The average currency exchange rates at bank counters were as follows:
- US dollar – UAH 37.45 – UAH 38.1 (exchange rate on August 17 – UAH 37.275 – UAH 37.95);
- Euro – 40.85 – 41.75 UAH (rate on August 17 – 40.8 – 41.6 UAH).
In terms of banks, the cash rates are as follows:
- Privatbank – UAH 37.35 – UAH 37.95;
- Oschadbank – UAH 37.35 – UAH 38.25;
- Ukreximbank – UAH 37.45 – 38.25;
- Raiffeisen – 37.2 – 38.3 hryvnias.
As for non-cash payments, the exchange rate when paying by card in banks in Privatbank is UAH 37.45 per dollar, in Oschada – UAH 37.12, in Universal Bank (monobank) – UAH 37.44.
