In the center of Moscow until May 10, access to minute-by-minute car rental services will be limited due to the planned events in honor of Victory Day. This was reported by the press service of the capital’s transport department.

According to the map published by the department, car sharing will be unavailable from east to west along the embankment of the Moskva River from Doma na Kotelnicheskaya to the Kropotkinskaya metro station, and also from south to north from the embankment at the Tretyakov Gallery to the Tsvetnoy Boulevard metro station.

Yesterday evening in the center of Moscow there was a failure in the work of services using GPS. This was reported in the press services of “Yandex.Kart”, “Urent” and “Citydrive”.

According to the Telegram channel “Baza”, navigation was jammed within the Boulevard and Garden rings.

In the press service of the Public Council for the Development of Taxis, they did not rule out that the reason for GPS failures could be the means of combating drones.

According to the Russian authorities, on the night of May 3, two drones tried to attack the Kremlin residence of Vladimir Putin. The press service of the Kremlin claims that the attack was organized by Ukraine. Security measures were strengthened in Moscow. The mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, ordered a ban on drone flights over Moscow.

In general, as TASS writes with reference to emergency services, about 300 reports of objects flying over the city are received daily in Moscow alone.

Earlier, the Federal Security Service of Russia closed Red Square in Moscow for visits from April 27 to May 10, where a parade with the participation of military equipment is held annually in honor of Victory Day on May 9. It is expected that more than ten thousand military personnel and 125 pieces of equipment will pass through the square this year. At the event, despite the demand for two drone strikes on the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to speak from the podium.

At the same time, in 21 cities of Russia this year, parades in honor of Victory Day were canceled. Among the reasons are security considerations, concern for “SVO participants”, “current situation”, reluctance to “provoke the enemy with a large concentration of equipment and military personnel”, as well as solidarity with other cities that canceled festive events.
